Travel & Visiting Camp

Parents can make air travel arrangements for their camper(s) through a travel agency that works closely with our camp office. They have reserved seats on several flights accommodating campers who fly in a Pinewood escorted group. We will contact enrolled families directly by late February about air travel arrangements. Some parents prefer to make their own flight arrangements. In this case we are happy to pick your camper(s) up at the Asheville Regional Airport, located just 10 minutes from camp.

Drive

Many parents drive their campers to Pinewood and enjoy seeing the camp and meeting the staff. Some even combine the trip with a vacation in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. If you plan to drive, or if you would like to call or email to schedule an advance visit to see the camp, the following information will help with your planning:

Please keep in mind that GPS will not bring you to the main camp entrance which is on West Prince Road.

From the South Florida area:
Take I-95 North to I-26. Then take I-26 West to North Carolina Exit 49-B (Four Seasons Boulevard). Take Four Seasons to Dana Road (Wendy’s on left), make a left onto Dana Road. Orr’s Camp Road is less than a quarter mile on your left. Make a left onto Orr’s Camp Road, traveling to West Prince Road making a right turn. The camp entrance is on the left side less than a quarter mile on W. Prince Road.

From the Atlanta area: 
Take I-85 North to White Horse Road/Highway 25. Exit South Carolina. Travel North on Highway 25, continuing on to I-26 West. Merge onto I-26 West, traveling to North Carolina Exit 49-B (Four Seasons Boulevard). Take Four Seasons to Dana Road (Wendy’s on left), make a left onto Dana Road. Orr’s Camp Road is less than a quarter mile on your left. Make a left onto Orr’s Camp Road, traveling to West Prince Road making a right turn. The camp entrance is on the left side less than a quarter mile on W. Prince Road.

From the Charlotte area:
